About Us
Our Story
The idea of Yakoba Organization came as a vision; after Alual went to visit South Sudan in 2010. The suffering she saw among the orphans of war on streets was devastating. She sees Yakoba Organization as a solution to the suffering of these orphans’ children in South Sudan. Alual contacted some authorities and friends and explained what she saw there. These individuals agreed to work with her to open the center.
Yakoba bringing hope to orphan children, for God is a father of orphans.
Yakoba Organization strives to empower orphan children by providing health care, education, economical independence, vocational training; and early childhood education.
Our Purpose
To Provide Shelter
Yakoba Organization’s foremost purpose is to rescue orphaned children from the harsh streets of South Sudan. These streets often expose them to unimaginable dangers, including hunger, violence, and exploitation. We offer a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring they have a place they can call home. Our shelters provide not just physical safety but also emotional support, giving these children the stability and care they need.
Vocational Training Skills
One of our core objectives is to equip these children with practical skills that will empower them to become self-reliant individuals. Through various vocational training programs, such as carpentry, sewing, and agricultural skills, we enable them to gain valuable knowledge and expertise in fields that align with their interests. This training offers them the opportunity to secure employment or even start their own businesses, fostering independence and economic stability.
Basic Healthcare
Good health is fundamental to a promising future. We offer basic healthcare services that include vaccinations, regular check-ups, and medical care. These services ensure that the children grow up in good health, free from preventable diseases, and with the ability to thrive. By addressing their healthcare needs, we secure a strong foundation for their overall well-being.
